Korsbåndskade, fremre: Forebygging

Oppvarming før knebelastende idrettsaktiviteter, som inkluderer balanse-, koordinasjons- og styrkeøvelser, kan redusere forekomsten av kneskader med rundt en fjerdedel og fremre korsbåndskader med opptil halvparten. I risikoidretter har man utviklet sportsspesifikke treningsprogram som skal minske risikoen for korsbåndskader. Forskning har vist at dette fører til en betydelig redusert forekomst av slike skader. Treningsprogrammene fokuserer på styrketrening og balanseøvelser relatert til den aktuelle idretten.
