Sinusknute dysfunksjon: Behandling
De fleste som får symptomer eller plager på grunn av sinusknute dysfunksjon, trenger å få satt inn en kunstig pacemaker. En pacemaker består av en elektrode som plasseres innvendig i hjertet, og som står i forbindelse med et batteri på utsiden av kroppen. Batteriet opereres inn under huden på brystet ditt. Pacemakeren erstatter den syke sinusknuten, og gir hjertet signaler som stimulerer hjertet til å pumpe regelmessig. Det kan også være aktuelt å gi deg medisin i tillegg til pacemakeren dersom hjertet ditt slår for hurtig.
Ved sinusknute dysfunksjon er det økt risiko for å få flimmer av forkammeret (atrieflimmer). Hos pasienter hvor det registreres anfall av flimmer, er det aktuelt å bruke blodfortynnende medisin for å forebygge hjerneslag.
