Polyarteritis nodosa: Behandling

Hensikten med behandlingen er å dempe betennelsesprosessen og å forhindre alvorlig skade på organer som nyrer, hjerte og lunger. Glukokortikoider (kortison) i høye doser og cellegift er vanligvis effektive betennelsesdempende medisiner. I tillegg kan det være nødvendig med ulike hjertemedisiner og blodtrykkssenkende midler.
