Solforbrenning: Behandling

Alle solinflammasjonene behandles stort sett likt:

  • Bruk avkjølende kremer
  • Dersom det er mye kløe eller svie, kan kløestillende midler brukes, enten som krem eller som tabletter
  • Ved smerter kan reseptfrie smertestillende medisiner hjelpe
  • Kortisonkrem kan smøres på de forbrente områdene eller på eksemet. I de aller fleste tilfeller anvendes den mildeste formen, hydrokortison, som du får uten resept, men nytteverdien er tvilsom
  • Som smertelindrende førstehjelp kan det være svært virksomt å legge våte laken over de solbrente partiene
  • Ved allergiske reaksjoner hvor det ikke er mulig å unngå opphold i solen, må du (sammen med legen) vurdere muligheten for å slutte eller midlertidig stanse bruken av den medisinen som har utløst plagene

Enkelte personer kan være så plaget av sin lysinflammasjon at de må sendes videre til hudlege for oppfølging der. Ved soleksem har halvparten av pasientene nytte av herding av huden ved hjelp av dosert behandling med UV-stråler.
