Forebyggende behandling

Ved tidligere alvorlig blodproppsykdom eller ved arvelig eller ervervet koagulasjonsdefekt skal heparin gis i hele svangerskapet ved senere svangerskap. Forskning har vist at forebyggende behandling med LMWH er sikker og effektiv i svangerskapet. Behandlingen skal fortsette i minimum seks uker etter fødselen. Eventuelt skiftes det til warfarin (Marevan®), som stanses etter tre måneder.
