Allergi mot grønnsaker og frukt: Soyabønner
Soyaprodukter er mye brukt innen matvareindustrien, særlig for å gi maten riktig konsistens, sørge for at de ulike ingrendiensene blandes godt med hverandre (emulgator) og protein fylningsmiddel. Soyabønner er også en viktig kilde til raffinert olje, men disse inneholder sannsynligvis ikke store mengder med allergene proteiner. Symptomer på soyabønneallergi varierer fra milde til livstruende. Soyabønner blir i likhet med peanøtter regnet som en av de viktigste matallergenene, og de er samtidig regnet som et av de mest utfordrende å unngå. Dette er fordi det blir brukt i så mange bearbeidede matvarer.
