Karpaltunnelsyndrom: Symptomer

  • Smerter, prikking, nummenhetsfølelse og/eller følelsestap tilsvarende medianusnervens forsyningsområde (se det rødfargede området på illustrasjonen) - særlig i langfinger og pekefinger

  • Lammelse og svinn av muskelmasse i tommelmuskulatur
  • Symptomene øker ofte om natten eller når armen holdes i ro. Det hjelper å riste eller massere hånden
  • Følelsestap på fingertuppene kan gjøre det vanskelig å håndtere små objekter, og man kan ha problemer med å vri kluter
  • Nedsatt kraft ved klemming av tommel mot lillefinger
  • Nedsatt kraft ved fingerbøying i tommel, pekefinger og langfinger
