Heteslag: Behandling

Ved symptomer på begynnende heteslag må du oppsøke kjøligere omgivelser, eventuelt legge over deg kalde omslag. Hvis det foreligger risiko for besvimelse, må du ikke sette deg i kaldt vannbad uten at noen ser til deg!

Ved mer alvorlige symptomer på heteslag vil behandlingen avhenge av symptomene. Det er viktig å igangsette nedkjøling, men kroppstemperaturen behøver ikke senkes under 40°C. Dette kan skje ved at man tar av deg klærne og plasserer vifter rundt deg, eller ved at du avkjøles i et vannbad eller dusj.

Hvis helsepersonell er tilgjengelig, igangsettes væskebehandling, og eventuelle kramper behandles med medisiner.
