Hælbeinsbrudd: Prognose

Prognosen avhenger av bruddtypen, hvor godt man har klart å sette bruddet på plass og om bruddet har gitt skader i leddflatene. På sikt kan slike brudd gi varige smerter i foten/hælen som følge av slitasjeforandringer (subtalar artrose). Det kan bli nødvendig å gjøre avstivende inngrep, noe som gir dårligere funksjon i foten, men mindre smerter.
